Today parents have so many choices when it comes to nursery bedding these days. They can select from designer, vintage or discount bedding ensembles. There are endless colors and patterns to choose from.

How Safe Is the Product?
Many doctors have recommended not using baby blankets, pillows and bumpers in the baby crib but instead place them as decorations around the room. SIDS has been attributed to these items and it is best to use them for decorative purposes only.
Can You Wash the Items?
Babies make messes and you want to be able to clean crib bedding. So make sure your items can be washed in the washing machine and don’t have to be dry cleaned.
Printed Designs
If your design is just printed on the material there is a good chance that it will fade over time and after many washings.
Quality
Don’t skimp on quality. Baby bedding must be washed many times and if the stitching is poor or the materials are poor then the bedding will not last. Pay a little extra for quality and it will save you money over the long run.
Buying
There are many places that sell crib bedding today. You can buy at your local Wal-Mart or even shop online. I have found great prices and quality online and on eBay. Most baby bedding is fairly inexpensive so you can afford to buy several sets and change them out while you are washing.
When buying cheap baby bedding make sure you check the quality and safety of the product before buying.
